Why is it so hard to tell if a women is gay or striaght?

I think women are better at hiding there sexual preference than men sometimes. People at my school were suprised to hear that I was bi because I appeal to guys a lot and i had a lot of boyfriends. I can't find any femme bi girls around my area. I live in DC which is suppose to be a Gay haven but all the gay girls here are tomboy and they are very masculine.

If it helps u it's the same in the UK! i'm not up for that butch look, i mean if ur a lesbian y would you look like a man right! But in the UK it's difficult to differentiate between the lesbians and fag hags because there's a lot of them that go to the clubs nowadays and you're worried you'll embarass yourself if you try it on! i live in london and work near soho which is also known as a gay haven but u can still never tell. What i do is get drunk enough that i don't care if i make a fool of myself and then i ask out a girl so that if she turns out to be straight i'm not too embarassed after the event! :)

Well you said it yourself we are much better at hiding our preference especially if we don't want people to know about it. I'm sure there are girls that are bi-femme or lesbian femmes just be patient you'll find someone. Why don't you try going to some bars or clubs that is assuming that you're old enough to get into these places.

There are plenty of masculine gay men out there that you have no idea they are gay. I would say that the fem gays are maybe 30% of the gay population.

Well because people are afraid if people will beat them up because of what or who they like. Well i would hang in there as far as the girlfriend
