Life is too short to be worrying about every little detail. When I have to make a decision, I just make sure it is one that will not hurt anyone else . Then I just go with it. If it doesn't work out, I just change my course and go with another plan. The only unacceptable answer, I suppose, is to just sit around and do nothing. Things don't always work out just the way I would have liked, but hey... at least I get out there and get my feet wet!

Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct (i.e., smooth out, like a steamroller) your paths.
With this you need in place:
- counsel from godly people who know you; including and especially your spouse or parents
-know the scriptures, the Bible, the Word of God, so that you know what you can do (what is right to do) and cannot do (what is wrong to do)
-consider your personality, interests, skills, and values
-review your responsibilities, and how the results of the decision(s) affect your responsibilities
-consider the opportunities, weighing pro's and con's
-last of all, since this is the least stable, consider the desires of your heart

Usually it is an event of great calamity that puts us at a crossroad.
I feel the best thing to do is;
1 - look at what has worked for you in the past, paying particular attention to what didn't work.
2 - now you need to look at your responsibilities, wife, children, bills and so on. To be a man you must consider these things above your own wants and desires.
3 - look within yourself and find what it is you want out of life. Realizing that desire for wealth are more than likely desires for security. Find what it is that gives you purpose, meaning and fulfillment while allowing you to fulfill your obligations.
Good Luck.

I use dowsing or divining you can use this skill to answer any closed question (yes no or bad question), it is not just for finding oil or water, but it does not work if you want the answers for personal gain like the Lottery. You have to be ready to be totally open minded about the answer which may not be what you where expecting, but it is usually accurate or at least I find it is. also you could use a pro's and con's list.

When I have to choose between different options, I write down a list of advantages for each option. It helps to put my thoughts in perspective. I also count how often I think of each option for a few days: the option I think about most is the decision to take.

To ride out the bad times you have to be able to walk away... if poker is one of the most important things in your life, you will probably wind up in big trouble. Just do whatever it is that you do to make yourself happy that is not at all related to poker. Then when you are stress free and ready, you can go back to the game.

When I am stuck for a decision I always find that writing down on paper and breaking it down into advantages and disadvantages helps alot. Your heart may still win over your ahead but it is amazing how clear things become when you put things down on paper

My philosophy is "The Lord will not lead you where He cannot keep you." Don't worry about tomorrow, just deal with today. When the time comes, just go with the flow and decide what you think is best for you.
