Yes! Dreams have to do with the dreamers life, what he or she is thinking, experiencing, sensing, afraid of, worried about, hoping for, being faithful to, not being faithful to, determined about, experiencing his or her body, thinking about other people, government and everything else about the person's life.
The human mind experiences things on several levels at the same time, but our awareness of those levels are incomplete consciously. So, dreams pick out clues to the issues involved in the inner duologue, visions, intuitions and discoveries.
Research not long ago revealed that the sleeping mind, or subconscious mind goes over everything that happens during waking hours inside and outside the body backwards and forwards.
The subconscious mind is attempting to make sense of the experiences of the world and ones reactions to the input or experiences and understanding of the world of oneself and the opposite.
One example of this exploration going on during sleeping hours is searches of the happens of the day to see patterns, reaction to patterns and conclusions of recognizing patterns in the experiences of the day.
It is like the pattern of grammar in the written word that conveys a major portion of the structure of what we perceive but it operates at an subconscious level. You know, noun before verb like "cat runs." This sentence makes sense by the patterns of nouns and verbs that we know so we that we don't think about it as we talk or write.
"This person talks about truth all the time, but he also exaggerates the truth."

Yes but I wouldn't say all dreams have meaning. Sometimes you're just walking around naked eating pudding because you were hungry and wanted pudding. Get a dream book and you'll see some common dream signs.

Yes, I do, but the meaning is psychological, not spiritual.
Our subconscious is working as we sleep and sometimes some of our inner issues surface in our dreams in different ways.

Some dreams are nonsense, but yes, I believe other dreams are creations of your inner thoughts and therefore could represent something you weren't aware of.
