About a month ago I painted my nails a weird color....and when I took it off my nails were yellow. About a month has passed and they are exactly the same. I tried lemon juice and it normally works....but not on me. I tried buffing them also, but they are still the same. They won't go away! HELP ME!!!

Hey,

Try mixing a tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with 21/2 tablespoons of baking soda use a cotton swab to press some of the mixture under your nail tip and onto your nail bed, leave it there for about three minutes or so and then rinse with warm water. Hope this works for ya!!
Last resort try a nail whitening pen, you can get them from Sally's Beauty Supply

Chill out...this usually happens when you wear nail polish too long. Really what you should do is soak them in Peroxide for about 45 minutes. Or even in bleach and water. Not too much bleach though. You only need about a teaspoon sized amount mixed with about a cup of hot water. Soak for about 30 minutes and then wash/scrub your hands with soap.

Try soaking them in either lemon juice or hydrogen peroxide. That should help. You might have to do it a few days though. Next time you use a polish that is red, or heavily tinted, use a base coat....and this won't happen.

put your nails in some lemon juice for 5mins or scrub your nails with smokers toothpast. remember to use a under coat before applying nail colour to stop the nails from going yellow

i've got used a mix of lemon juice and baking soda on mine and it variety of feels to artwork ok. Buff your nails with a good grit report, positioned the baking soda and lemon on and enable it sit down for a jiffy, then scrub it in with a nail brush and rinse it off. It won't take out each and all of the yellow, even inspite of the shown fact that it facilitates a sprint.

I was going to suggest you peel an orange, but if the lemon didn't work.....

you may just have to paint them a light color until the yellow grows out. Always use a base coat though!!

Go to the nail Salon and have them give you a manicure and they can help you. I know they will tell you not to use dark or weird color nail polish without using a coat of clear polish first. Hope this helps. :)

all nail varnish causes yellowing to the nails. Leave the polish off for a few days and it will clear.
