why is it that the people who get mad about being stereotyped are the ones acting stereotypical? it is so annoying! if you dont want to be stereotyped then dont act that way! it makes me so angry when people pull the race card. stop using what happened to your ancestors as an excuse! its almost 2007, things have changed, we are all equal. we all bleed the same color. a friend and i went out to dinner the other night and we sat across from this woman who was being so loud and rude and talking about how white people are dumb and how she is so tough and blah blah blah. come on! if you want people to respect you, act respectful! i almost said something to her but after she said how she use to work at kfc...well, it was all over. she proved my point. dont complain about being stereotyped for being loud, rude, obnoxious and liking chicken when you are all of the above. dont get me wrong, i am not racist at all! i just strongly dislike ignorant people...no matter what color they are.

im not trying to offend anyone! i respect everyones opinion. please dont think this has to do with skin color. it doesnt! all im saying is that dont act a certain way and then complain that you are being stereotyped for acting that way. like being loud in a restaurant complaining that people say you are loud.

I hate when people say pull the race card, your race isn't something you can pull out your pocket and use when convenient. Anyways one person acting ignorant is just that one person acting ignorant. You can't judge a whole race by one person or I would have a very low opinion of white women right now. Look how white women are portrayed on TV. No one has to act differently than a stereotype to disprove it, use your common sense and know that everyone is different. You must hate yourself, because you are very ignorant.

Well, stereotyping is much easier to categorize a certain number of people with out going down the whole list. Of course when someone says my name and the other party ask who I am. And, I've met the other party before, all that person says is the tall blond. And, you know who I am, because I'm taller then most girls. But, when you stereotype a whole race, if you do it to your own race, then it is offensive. Yeah, I hate stereotypes also hate labels, being put in a category because of a certain thing that happen to me.

I agree, I have asked a question like this before.

People dont understand that that is why there are sterotypes in the world. Because MOST people of that certain race, not just african amaericans, act a certain way. Im white, im not sure what the stereotypes for white people are but Im sure I fit in there!! Ill admit it, theres nothing to be ashamed of, or to get angry about. IF you get angry about something like that, that IS showing how insecure you are about yourself. People judge everyday. usually its not out of hate, or to even be mean. But people take it the wrong way! Come one people, YOU DO IT TOO!!!

Either way if people except it or not Sterotypes is something that will ALWAYS be around. However that doesn't mean sterotypeing has to degrotory towards people. I mean saying balck people like chicken, isnt talking crap on them, its just something that most blacks have in common. Asians are smart in most subjects, thats not being rude. There are many more its just a way we are as a society. People just need to learn to except the negatives ones like im white so people think I suck at sports and can't dance, I know I can do both so it doesn't bother me i just prove them wrong and except it, I even play along with it. Have fun laugh at yourself and stop being so uptight.

Amen Sister I've been saying it for years. If you want to stop being stereotyped then do something with your life instead of sitting there complaining about being stereotyped and how wrong it is. Prove people wrong and shut them up!!

Ya a good amount of my people make the rest of us look bad. Like these dudes are gonna go out and public and act like these ignorant rappers that they see on tv and expect society to respect their ignorant asses. Also, if you want people to respect you, do be all out in public acting all loud and ghettofied. All of this is simple yet its all because their parents havent taught them any better.

i completely agree with you too, i am not a racist either, but also find it more annoying than anything when african-americans pull the race card. in fact, i have encountered more racist african americans that i have people who are caucasian. Yet THEY never seem to see it that way.

Thank you for speaking the truth. Stereotypes suck, but they came from some shred of truth. If you do not like them, don't exemplify the stereotypes in your protest of them. Be yourself. I hate when people pigeon-hole themselves.
