I agree with what most people are saying about missing the battle between the two companies but the coments about Vince McMahon being the worst owner of any orginization is absolute crap. If it wasn't for Vince nobody would be watching wrestling at all, it would have died in the late 70's. He revived the business and has kept it alive ever since. Just be patient, the decline is almost over...wrestling is a rollar coaster...we have to sit through the crappy years to get to the good stuff that WILL BE BACK!!!

I agree. I miss WCW, ECW, Mid-Southern (Memphis), World Class Championship Wrestling, USWA (which was basically the combined talent of World Class and Mid-Southern), MidSouth/UWF (Watts), Florida, Stampede Wrestling, AWA, Pacific Northwest, and all the other regional and national promotions that used to be part of the US and North American pro wrestling scene. The problem is the percentage of entertainment first fans has gone up over the years, and the people who actually care about the sport part of the business has gone done in terms of the percentage of total wrestling fans. Vince is simply trying to give the people what he thinks they want to see. If the traditional pro wrestling fans dominate again, then I think Vince will adjust his product accordingly. Vince lets the fans
dictate what the content of his product, since they are his bosses. They buy the merchandise, tickets, PPVs, and whatever
else to support the McMahons and their employees. The problem
is only partly the McMahons. Most of the problem lies with the
marks, who take wrestling at face value and care more about the
entertainment aspect. They are the ones who read trashy tabloids, and watch for the soap opera storyline the WWE has, not the actual wrestling.

OH yes compared to the mid 90's the shows today are crap!!!
But there is hope, even light at the end of the tunnel. TNA is putting on some great shows and I think in the next few years they are going to be a great painful thorn in the side of WWE

Absolutely! There is nothing now! Vince Mcmuffin is the worst owner of any wrestling federation in the history of the world and he has managed to destroy the sport.

Yes. I liked WCW much better than WWF. (It will always be WWF to me). I stopped watching after WCW went under, and McMahon decided to split wrestlers between shows trying to make false competition. I just recently began to watch again, but it is not even close to what it was.
