Apu, the Kwikimart owner, kind of looks like Abu, the monkey from Aladdin. The sond "See My Vest" sung by Mr. Burns, has the same melody from "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast, and that episode is kind of like 101 Dalmations because Mr. Burns wanted to kill the puppies for clothes. If you've noticed anything else, feel free to say it.

I ment to say parody and I couldn't remember what it was. And yes the Simpsons is an awesome cartoon. And yea I probobly am blind but that just what I think that Abu looks like Apu.

Apu was a simpson character before Aladdin came out. So im sure that was a coincidence. Plus, I dont think that Abu and Apu look alike. And the episode was a parody of 101 Dalmations so was the song "see my vest". It wasnt copied, it was poking fun at it. They dont copy disney. They had one episode that makes fun of disney. They make fun of everything. That would be like someone saying that the Simpsons copy the Bozo show alot, or they copy the Spanish channel alot, because of that bee guy.

The ridiculousness of this question aside (parody is more than just copying), I wanted to point out an error in your accusation of Apu Nahasapeemapetilon being a ripoff of Abu from Aladdin.
The Disney movie Aladdin came out in 1992, whereas Apu's first appearance on The Simpsons was in the episode "Homer's Night Out", which originally aired March 25, 1990.

yes, you are right.. "see my vest" song is the same tune as " be my guest" from. The Simpson's copy alot from Disney and the headlines from the news and other TV shows..
they spoofed Lost in Space, Who Shot JR storyline from Dallas.. and one of my favs is from Disney as well, The Sherry Bobbins episode, taken from Mary Poppins..
