well, I´m german and a fan of Johnny Cash, my question is about the song "Jackson", you know, I understand the words but not the "meaning".....is it about some part of his life, something biographic or is it just a song.....Im sure, you can explain it to me....thanks for your help.....

I don't think was actually a bio of his life. It's just a song. It's song about giving up on your marriage. Going off to Jackson to have some fun. But really it's just catchy and fun to sing along with.

Another good song that doesn't really mean anything is Cocaine Blues. If you haven't listened to that it's good. He was a great artist right up till his death. Hurt was an amazing song.

I think Jackson is just a song.An old country thing that Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra covered.
