Can anyone tell me from personal experience when their labor started after being told by the doctor that they were 1-2 cm and 50% effaced? Thanks!

Well, with my 3rd child, my doc told me I was dilated 3 and 75% effaced. I walked around for 2 weeks like that and was induced. Sorry....

My sister was 1-2 CM and 50% effaced for 2 weeks before she went into labor. It all depends on the baby and your body when the time is right.

With my first baby my labor had already started before I was 2 cm. With my 2nd I was dilated 1-2 cm for a week, and then regular labor contractions started.

Six weeks, for me. When are you due? How many contractions have you been having? How many times have you given birth? All those are things that will affect dilation and effacement as well as when you have the baby.

Good luck!

I stayed like that for days until I finally sat in the hospital until they enduced! I couldn't take it anymore! You can stay like that up until your water breaks. I would just keep bugging the dr.
