The Lions & Raiders need to relieve their GM's (and more importantly....ownership rights) more than they need draft picks. Overall #1 picks haven't proven to be the best picks in recent years. They need to trade down to someone desperate for a position player and get some additional picks.
You'll be able to tell by halftime who's playing for the pick and who's playing for pride.

Come on worse you drop to is 2. There are more then 2 good picks. How sad is that? Seriously I just double checked the standings and no team has 3 wins the worst besides these two is Cleveland and Tampa Bay at 4. So the question is should one of them play for the #3 pick. Besides isn't it a coin flip for #1 anyway. So really do you drop if you win? You may have been #2 anyway, and in the Raiders case they would kick the team OUT of the playoffs. I think they bring it for that, or at least they should. Treat it a little like a playoff game. Not like they did much else this year. Even if they beat my Steelers they really didn't do much this year. Honestly I came to a conclusion this year. I think Al Davis WANTED the #1 pick. But rather then make it obvious by having the team PLAY bad, he simply got a team that COULDN'T play good if they tried. I mean how else do you explain Aaron Brooks. I mean the Lions got Kitna who was a decent backup, not really a starter though. Come on though Brooks? The Saints QB when they went 3-13? That is who you are depending on? Either the demenita set in and he has lost his mind or this was some weird master plan.

Randy is basically not decrease back next season. he's a honest weathered buddy. He basically "needs" to play complicated at the same time as the crew is prevailing? i'd opt for to artwork flat out basically at the same time as there is not something to do and its sunny outdoors also. in reality that Oakland is going to might want to rebuild. you won't be able to try this with a cry toddler on your ear absorbing gross revenues cap area. Al Davis needs to employ himself a President and GM and left some youngblood take over the Raiders for now. As for the large form a million %., it would want to bypass to Oakland or Texas. on the instantaneous, i believe Texas has the better hand. in the journey that they get it, i don't believe that David Carr will be there next year. they are going to probable launch him and bypass after Quinn. in the journey that they don't and Oakland get the %., Al will probable take Quinn. If i'm Brady Quinn, I campaign for Texas. Gary Kubiak is in Texas and he has a brighter destiny than artwork Shell or any of the different applicants that would replace Shell on the right of the season. good day typhoon, i recognize you adult men imagine Troy Smith might want to give up the conflict in Iraq, yet he's not going #a million interior the NFL Draft. He probable received't bypass until eventually the 2d or 0.33 round. he's not a prototypical NFL QB. he will be a receiver/QB form on regardless of crew drafts him. also you information are little distorted. Brady Quinn received the award for ideal QB. Troy Smith received the Heisman and the award for ideal participant (not particular what the names of those awards are, there is too a lot of them). Colt McCoy is too youthful to enter the NFL draft. He must be out of highschool for a minimum of three years.

i'm sure its been done before, but if there is a guy you really really want like a reggie bush or brady quinn, i would, play my starters for bout the frist quarter then put in my back ups, and in the forth no matter how close the game put in the lowest guyz on the totem pole.

No they should just look at both teams schedules and see who deserves it or just flip a coin
besides its not like one player will help either team both teams suck so bad that they would need a complete redraft to have a shot at being good

Detroit has it now based on a weaker schedule, and since they have no prayer of beating Dallas on Sunday, it doesn't matter what the Raiders do.

One player isn't going to save either team. They need to be completely revamped, and a single rookie isn't going to do that. I think they know that too, so I doubt you see any sabotaging going on this Sunday. If they lose, it is because they are experienced at it, not because they think Brady Quinn will save them, and they need to "play" to get him.
