Is the crime level as bad as they say ?

Been there like 100 times. Most recently about 3 months ago. No. Crime is not bad at all. Watch out for pickpockets and typical border stuff, unless you are a drug trafficker. Don't forget to eat at "Tacos Palenque" in Laredo, Texas. Best Mexican food ever! Buen Viaje!

I'm a truck driver and I am in and out of there. In fact, I'm on my way there now...well,when the truck starts rolling again. I have not heard of crime being on the upswing. A couple of months ago I was there for four days in a motel,and I never heard of anything out of the ordinary. Just be careful about where you go.

i have been to this place it is really cool. u should go there if u like models and fountains to look at.
