Basically, you wouldnt think they would have time for Christ though. You know they have a full agenda; make a trip to the abortion clinic, go to a gay rally, the flag burning association, tree hugging, go pick up their welfare check, and then you know its hard to praise Christ while they spend 2 hours out of the day burning Bibles.

No, it doesn't. I'm not sure you understand what a hypocrite is.

If atheist liberals said that no one should celebrate Easter or Christmas unless they believed in the Christian God, and *then* they celebrated those holidays, that would make them hypocrites.

I have a question for you: If Christians celebrate Christmas as Jesus' birthday, when they know damn well it isn't, does that make them hypocrites?

I would think celebrating anything other than the recognized Mosaic festivals would have nothing to do with God.

I don't know of anyone in America that follows the commandments or believes in GOD So what difference does it make. Even Billy Graham preached eternal security messages telling people they could live in sin and still go to heaven.

In a Nation of hypocrites it's all irrelevant.

In a way that could be used as a word to describe them. But look at how Christmas is celebrated now. How many kids, or even adults for that matter, actually spend the time of those two holidays in celebration or rememberance of what the holiday is really set aside for. So it is no wonder why they want to celebrate it even though it is something that they do not want to believe in.

If cons celebrate Easter and Christmas and don't believe in God, does that not make them hypocrites? What about the cons who don't' believe in God? Or are all cons right wing nut jobs? There are some nice conservative people on here who are probably really offended by you and would not want to associate with you. Does that make them hypocrites?

This just in: Liberals do not act as one big group. Surprisingly enough, there are Christian Liberals and they, since they believe in God, celebrate Easter and Christmas without the name tag of hypocrite.

I suppose, but what do you mean by celebrate? Do they attend church services - then possibly hypocritical. Do they read the Bible account of Jesus' birth - ok, hypocritical. Do you mean that they exchange gifts? Then odds are they are not "celebrating" the holidays, but instead just partaking in the spirit of the times. That isn't an endorsement of the holidays, that's just be social.

Careful where you point that finger.

ahhh..religion in politics...where it doesn't belong. Let me answer this for you...ANYONE who celebrates a christian holiday who is not christian is a hypocrite. That being said, chirstmas is celebrated during the winter solstice ( a pagan holiday) also during chanukkah...and Easter is celebrated during a time when passover is also celebrated. So christians don't 'own' certain times of the year. A bigger hypocrisy would be to claim you are christian, and then go and invade a country.

If they are Christians they are not hypocrites.
People who support war and claim to be Christians are hypocrites, most of them seem to be conservatives.
