NO -- the US should kick them out of the country and not play. If the rest of the world wants to have a UN somewhere else, fine, whatever.
Mike F -- the homeless issue has nothing to do with wealth or budgets or the UN, and everything to do with the fact that in this country we have civil protections and do-gooders that prevent the government from rounding up insane people and drug addicts and forcing them into hospitals or shelters. Most other countries have no such hesitations, they round 'em up -- though I've seen more homeless in the UK than I've ever seen in the US, that's for sure.

No. Just as president Hugo Chávez said, the United Nations is a rotten organization... it doesn't work. Given that the main goal of the United Nations was to not let future generations see more wars, and given the tens of wars that have had place after its creation, we can clearly state that, definitely, the UN doesn't work. Especially when it comes to justice: A "justice" that only serves the interests of the United States of America and its partners.

No I think they should stop wasting all that money and use it for something that will help the U.S .I have a friend who lives in Sweden and he was here visiting me in Idaho, and he asked me why all those people are are always hanging out in the park all the time.Well I told him they are homeless and he just could not believe it .He had never seen a homeless person before. And I asked how Sweden managed to avoid this problem and he said simply that people in Sweden help each other along with the government. He was absolutely astonished that in a country as rich as our's that the government would allow such a thing to happen to their own people. Sad very sad.It is all about greed and power.

>UN is much more corrupt than any US corporation
>UN Peacekeepers raped little girls in the Congo (VASTLY under-reported in the media - can you imagine if Halliburton employees had done that?)
>UN gives dictators a forum to speak freely, which is more than those dictators give their own people
I could go on, but I do not want to ruin my own day.

No, the UN is certainly not worth it. Ask victims of the "peacekeepers" how much they think the UN is worth.
