I'm doing a college project and could some outside input. My opinion is that no, they do not deserve millions of dollars just to remember lines and say them in front of a camara. There are many people out there that without them this country would be in complete chaos. What is your view?

They are over paid puppets.
The money should be going to our teachers, nursers and doctors. The ones that are actually doing something for the human race.

The *entire* entertainment industry is overpaid. Not just limited to actors, singers, etc. But basketball players, ither athletes etc.
Just like people don't deserve millions for memorizing lines, athletes don't deserve what they get for having the right body.
Take Tiger Woods--professional golfer for example. He hits a ball into a hole--millions of dollar$.
America is obsessed with celebrities and sports. It's ridiculous. It's that addiction that makes the entire industry so overrated.
Doctors, and other respected professions are paid less! And they work several years through medical school studying and studying.

The salaries are a bit out there, especially for the likes of Tom Cruise(Pod Boy).Regardless of how good the actor is, some of the salaries are ridiculous. It's a well known fact they do not see the full amount, not after everyone on their staff is paid, and taxes; but when it goes into the double digits, that is t-o-o much!!It's especially irritating when the picture is primarily special effects, and the lead actor is a dork,......can we say War Of The Worlds'?

Sure. Although now it's over 600 million dollars. If a squirrel is willing to lay down some cash for some tickets, then the squirrel should have an equal shot at the jackpot. Fair is fair.

I think they are worth the money. People may say doctors and lawyers get paid less for doing their jobs , but then their work is stable and always guaranteed. An actor , singer or sportsman is always more or less freelance therefore they don't have the luxury of knowing that they will always have that pay cheque

Well i don't think they are worth all those millions of dollars. you know, anyone can go to acting school, have some kind of connection to a hollywood agent or find their way to one, and get famous...it is definitely a hard job and it is time consuming but actresses and actors who are getting millions and millions of dolalrs for one movie, what the hell?? that;s just plain stupid.. i agree with you. all they have to do is memorize a bunch of lines, not even a bunch, just like one or two and then say it infront of a camera,....it's like this: ______________________ (what actor is saying-one line) CUT (director) ______________ (next scene-short) CUT! and it goes on and on...i mean how hard could it possibly be!!

money means more to celebs than all the ppl who look up to them

they are worth it only because the fans make it so. i enjoy a good movie as much as anyone,but,it 's all about the fans making it happen.
