Cyrus

From Κυρος (Kyros), the Greek form of the Persian name Kûrush, which may mean "far sighted" or may be related to the Persian word khur "sun". The name is sometimes associated with Greek κυριος (kyrios) "lord". This was the name of several kings of Persia, including Cyrus the Great, who conquered Babylon. He is famous in the Old Testament for freeing the captive Jews and allowing them to return to Israel.

Olivia

Created by Shakespeare for a character in his comedy 'Twelfth Night'. He may have based it on the name OLIVER or on Latin oliva "olive". In the play Olivia is a noblewoman who is wooed by Duke Orsino but instead falls in love with his messenger Cesario.

Chance does not have any special history attached to it.

Basically, choose a name that fits the attitude and actions of your hamster. It takes about a week of observation to really figure out what your pet likes/doesn't like to do. From there, you can start picking a suitable name.

I would pick chance because chance is the best name for a hamster out of the three names.

I think Olivia is so cute. I can imagine a little hamster, named Olivia, rolling around in her cage!

Knowing the sex of the hamster might be a good start. You have one male, one female, and one unisex name.

But I strongly dislike "Chance". Sounds like a new age version of a hippie naming their child sunflora peyote lovechild.
