Ok here is my situation. I was on birth control pills and then my doctor switched the brand. I have been taking this new brand for almost 4 weeks now. My period always comes like clock work.
For the past week I have had nasuea, back aches, cramping, tiredness, clear more than normal discharge. I have not missed any birth control pills. I did a pregnancy test yesterday and it came back negative. I am supposed to start my period today but nothing started yet. I still feel like crap.
If I am pregnant that is ok but what if I'm not, should I be worried about something else? If I don't start my period in a few days I will take another hpt.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about. Many of the things in which you listed are side effects of birth control. If you just switched over to a new brand your body can be slowly trying to adjust to it. The same thing happened to me because I was on the same brand for over 2 years and then I got switched to another brand. I had really bad nausea and a lot of the symptoms you're having now. If the pregnancy test came back negative but you still think there's a chance that it may be wrong, go to a clinic or doctor to be sure. But most importantly, relax and please don't stress yourself out by your symptoms. Your body will get used to the new birth control with time. And if it really doesn't go away and your not pregnant, ask to switch to your old brand.

As with all medications, when you switch brands/types, they may have different effects on your body and health. If you've only been on this brand for 4 weeks, then the pills have run their normal course, and these are just symptoms of your upcoming period. I would recommend that you go back to the doctor and ask to be switched back to the original brand of pills you were taking before the switch if you did not have these sorts of symptoms. Your body is probably just reacting to the new medication and if you don't like what is happening, you should see your practioner to see if there is a more acceptable option for you.

Your symptoms are the reason i stopped taking birth control. It made me feel like crap for the whole first week and then waves of nausea for the rest of the month. Got off the pill and feel much better.

if you think you're pregnant continuing to take bc could be detrimental to the babies health... I'm sorry to hear you're feeling bad, but I'm happy to hear about the clear discharge, lol, guys can't get enough of that stuff.

Get off the pill. It has more harmful side affects then benefits. Why do this to your body??? WAKE UP & TAKE CONTROL. Your doctor profits from you this way. Serioulsy, there are other safer ways to protect yourself from unwanted pregnancies, & please dont say that you use the pill for other things that it was never designed for.
