In Buddhism,
1. You can be a Buddha, the great enlightened being.
2. When someone asked Sitdharta how the universe was created, he said that's nothing we should care or put human energy to figure out! Since the most important question in life is "who am I and what am I doing here???". He said to concentrate on this topic hard, because
Your life is like your house is on fire
Enlightening is like distinguishing the fire, but
Questioning how the universe is created is like asking "who sat the fire on my house? I'll figure that out then distinguish the fire"
Um, I now kinda understand why Buddha (Sitdharta) said that way, but had a lot of curiosities about the creator of the universe.
I can tell you, after I meditated and look for the answer of who am I more, the creator question become less important, because I feel I'm with the creator, so I don't have to question about him much!

The word spoken by Buddha was "Anatta" and Jesus never spoke a word. Christ was the Tao, that is the word that was spoken by Lao Tzu. Another major doctrinal difference is that the Buddhist believes that there is no abiding principle in man. The buddhist believes they should follow the example of Buddha and renounce Nirvana until all are liberated from suffering. The Buddhist is a christ, the Chrestian is a follower of the way.

well, some say that buddhism, which recognizes no "god/creator", as such, is more a system of psychology, than a religion. why? in its more esoteric aspects, it explains how the human mind/psyche operates, and how to deal with its "dysfunctions" so that one can lead a life filled with wisdom and lovingkindness, rather than bloated ego and body, very popular "attributes" currently, especially among the psychopathic "elites" who run the planet. moreover, i am unaware of any "fundamentalist" buddhists who are ready to murder anyone who does not subscribe to their belief system ;-) (obviously a complete treatment of doctrinal differences would require a book, eh?)

Buddhism is based on the beliefs of karma, dharma, nonviolence, and reincarnation; They also follow the teachings of Sidartha Guatama (also known as Buddha)
Christians believe in reincarnation but not the same type of reincarnation as do the Buddhists; We follow the teachings of God and Jesus Christ

Buddhism is a personal religion. The point is to know yourself, to improve yourself, to make yourself always into a better, more caring person.
Christianity is a faith-based religion, in that one has to believe. Nothing can be proven, and faith in the teachings of priests is demanded. It is highly vulnerable to the personalities of these priests, and their altogether human frailties.
