the colleges i looked up just want a basic grad degree in whatever field.Law is another game altogether coz most of the schools want a law grad...but its not like that in the case of cyber crime.

It seems you have already asked a similar question! If I am not mistaken, you want to be a criminal lawyer focusing on cyber investigation, right? Well, basically you should have a legal qualification. Thorough knowledge of computer is also essential though not a degree in it!

Your question is not worded very well. Are you trying to get into school, or find a new job? Are you looking ahead and considering a career choice, or trying to figure out what to do right now? I guess the simplest way to answer your question is this: if you want a job in computers, you need a computer degree. If you do not have one, you'll be getting a job outside of computers.
