How about Psychology. I was going to become an Art Therapist but changed my mind to School Psychologist. Anyways, Art Therapy would be a great field to go into. You get to help kids (or adults) with their problems through using means of art. Just go to http://www.arttherapy.org/ or type Art Therapy into a search engine and there are many cites that will tell you more about the field. Hope this helps!

Education (art teacher), Art history, museum studies, technical illustration, interior design, theater (costume and set design), historic preservation, landscape design, animation and film...The list, as noted above, goes on and on. And, there's no law that says that just because you enjoy art and have some talent that you have to major in an art-related field, or have an art-related career. In short, you may also want to think about majors that have connections to your other interests and talents as well.

(PS: For people interested in art-related careers, I highly recommend Careers In Art: An Illustrated Guide by Gerald Brommer and Joseph Gatto It's available used through Amazon for under $15.

Look around you. What stuff requires art? Movies, ads, cartoons, comics, ... everything! Market your talent. Make yourself available. Advertise. Set up an online gallery and offer to draw portraits of pets or something.

Graphic Arts, Design, or Communications

I have a friend who worked as a sketch artist for a newspaper chain. She does very well.

You might want to get into designing for cartoons, movies, CD covers, etc.

The possibilities are endless.

Graphic design and illustration. My son has built a very successful career in tattooing by having a flair for art in addition to the mechanics of tattooing. By the hour, I swear that, once established, it seems that they gross similiar rates as plastic surgeons.
