"Good" is a question of taste, making the assessment somewhat personnal.
More people eat rice than any other food.
Corn may be the food with most uses (including fuel, lubricant...)
Older cultures have had longer to learn how to make food interesting to eat (e.g., India, China, most Mediteranean cultures). Of the newer cultures, the French do have a reputation for making tasty food (at least for Western Culture people).

You have to consider that Americanized foods from other countries are different. like consider china they think dog, cat and horse are delicacies. in India they eat rats. French eat lots of weird stuff. but the best I think in my opinion is Italian go to Rome and try the pizza (it of course is not called pizza I just can't think of how it is spelled)
Italian food is the most similar to what we eat here in America. It is a better quality, but it is so good.
