Lie down with your legs tucked up to your chin and I'll bring you a cup of tea and a hot water bottle. This always works for my girlf x

I suffer from really bad cramps too. The doctor had put me on Motrin and I was supposed to take them every 4 hours for a full 48 hours. I eventually stopped taking them because I found that I got the same relief by taking extra strength Pamprin and taking really hot showers. This method is really nice 'cause it helps to relax you too. Spend some extra time in the shower and it should help with your cramps. But stay stocked up on Midol or Pamprin and take it as directed. Good luck and feel better!

A warm cuppa should help. Watching a captivating movie to take your mind off it. I find that just moving around, doing things in the house, help. The less I do, the worse it gets.
Try to do without medication, chamomile tea is good for this. If you get heavy period regularly, try to take evening primerose oil everyday, not just during your period. I had all sorts of problems with my cycle, before and during. I was given all sorts of treatments by my gyno for that and nothing helped, and sometimes the treatments made things worse. However Evening primerose oil has helped regulate all my problems.

I've heard that exercise can help ease bad period pains, but maybe you were exercising too hard? Try gentle stuff like swimming (if you are OK with using tampons), or having a boogie in your room to your favourite music (you might feel like a nutter, but I think this helps relieve tension and no one can see you!).

If exercising doesn't help, plonk yourself down on the sofa with a hot water bottle and chill out with a good film or something. Distracting yourself is essential whenever you are feeling pain, whether emotionally or physically. I hope you feel better soon! :o)

I suffered enough pain for mother earth, what i used to do was put a small amount of port into a small glass and add some very ' hot' water drink that and go to bed , I would wake up much better. Eventually I had to go to a gyne .clinic to get sorted out . I do not drink ,but i found a very hot drink soothe 's your stomach, nobody in this day and age should have to suffer, find something that works for you and please do not suffer.

Ibuprofen eases cramps.

I have a terrible time with cramps, myself. Sexual activity is said to help (if you can bring yourself to even think of that, at a time like this!).

I sometimes use a heating pad when I'm at my wit's end (there are those times when you have no idea what to do -- it hurts so bad). The heating pad sort-of works.

My mother used to lie on the floor, on her stomach, with a pillow tucked underneath her lower abdomen. Works for her, never worked for me. Eh; to each, her own. :)

I have been told that if you get a cushion and place it on your lap then bring your knees up to your chin it helps or you could get them heat patchy things and take some ibuprofen so you can get on with life!
