Hostel. Not just the gore, but the thought that that kind of stuff could actually be happening around the world

This will sound quite sad but when I was a kid I found the labyrinth (David bowie, hob goblins, ludo) scary because of the pink furry things that can take their limbs and head off and try and take Sarah's head off!! I know I should hang my head in shame.
But now, The shining still seems to scare the life out of me, its the twin girls that do it and the old women in the bath tub. However, I recently saw One Hour Photo with Robin Williams and although the mention of Robin Williams (playing the photo technician whose very unhinged) hardly makes you scared this film is disturbing and frightening because it really could happen. Definitely worth watching

The original Omen was and still is very scary.
I think the shinning was voted the most scary in a poll but for the life of me I dont know why.
I also found the ring very creepy the first time I saw it

The exocist was a load of crap . i watched it and was bored the whole way through it.. it is only really meant to be scary if you believe in the devil and religion and all that.. if you believe the devil could take over some little girl.. hey go watch the movie but it only like 10 minutes of many hours ..personally i feel it was a load of cap that lasted too long.
Not scary but quite entertaining are the final destination movies if you are looking for a recommendation. :)

Stigmata scared the life outta me! I saw it when I was 20 too, both me and my best mate woke up after watching it in the night convinced we had holes in our hands and we were 10 miles apart lol!! I don't normally get scared by "scary" films either. Weird that it got to me :o)

The Exorcist
Based on fact, goes beyond good and evil to God and the Devil.
That is still the only movie that I can't watch and I'm way over the age of being scared of things that go bump in the night.

the only film that I've ever been genuinely scared of is "return to oz". i know it's not a horror, but the women who cud take her head off dependin on what she was wearin n she had a room full of these heads. n then there was the wheelies, i just can't work out how they didn't end up flat on their faces!! return to oz is definitely my scariest film ever
