bands like these get famous overnight for doing nothing.
These guys write cheap songs that appeal to a bunch of teens. They don't care about the music, they only care about being famous and getting money.

There's plenty of other bands out there that produce quality music, like Dream Theater, Angra, and Symphony X. But they're known more in Europe and Asia than here.

Dream Theater is a band from New York, comprised of 5 of the best musicians in the world, but most of America has never heard of them because everybody is too focused on some guy acting like a dumbass on stage.

Panic at the Disco and Fallout Boy are interchangable...they sound exactly like each other and 200 other insignifcant bands who for some unknown reason are famous in this country
just another case of people listening to MTV instead of judging music for themselves

Blame the flagging music industry. They won't take risks with more experimental things nowadays. Music IS a business and does have an overhead, they need a return on their investment. That is why I stick with less popular stuff. Although my favorite band is actually quite well-known.

first off Blink 182 were not whiny.

But no I think they are very talented. Who else out there sounds like Panic at the disco. no one. They have a new sound going on and it should be respected whether or not you like them. And Fall out Boy tries out new sounds everytime they make a new album like true artist should.

I don't. I love P!ATD. I also like FOB. P!ATD is the most original band I have ever heard. I love Ryan's lyrics, he has an amazing way to word things. Both of the bands have tremendous talent and deserve to be appreciated.

P.S. If you don't like them that's your perogative but don't bash those who do like it. I will say the same thing to anyone who bashes anyone for listening to anything, even if I don't like it myself.

Yes, absolutely. They're the kind of bands that teens listen nowadays so teens can tell the world "we rock" lol. They suck!

To me 30 seconds to Mars is also completely overrated.

Yes, theyre overrated and of course they dont have the talent to play a decent guitar solo, but I wouldnt call them completely talentless... they got a certain charm in their simplicity... like the early Beatles....

AAAck! Loooooosssseeeeerrrr. I love them, but I can see why people hate them, I mean, they never stood in line to wait for their big break, maybe thats how the world is coming to now. Still love them though.
