The sun is just stirring it.DTennant isn't quitting - fact. i read an interview in Dr Who magazine he wants to play the doc 4 as long as they want him.
Series#3 has only just finished filming.No.4 hasn;t even been commissioned by BBC Wales yet & won't be til next year.so how do the sun know he's leaving halfway thru something that isn't even commissioned yet? Relax. It's all garbage!

Even if David Tennant WAS quitting, the BBC would produce a denial. They denied Chris Eccleston and Billie Piper were leaving right up until the last moment when it was impossible for them to deny it anymore. Russell T Davies likes to keep the fans guessing. I think Tennant's leaving has been known for some time and Davies is already actively casting for the final regeneration scenes for the end of series three and there WILL be a new Doctor very soon.

I know it was in the Sun, but they are never usually far wrong. There has to be something in it.

The BBC has released a statement saying that David Tennant is not leaving as yet as series 4 has not been commissioned, but Russell T Davies is already putting plans together for the Fourth series

Not sure ehat it says in the sun

David Tennant is set to continue in his role as Dr. Who, according to the BBC.

The corporation has denied reports that the star is looking to quit the show, insisting that Tennant is "committed" to the show, and will stay until at least the end of the fourth series.

A BBC spokesman added: "When a further series is commissioned, we will be able to confirm his involvement."

The programme will return to screens this Spring, with Freema Agyeman replacing Billie Piper as Tennant's co-star.

Following rumours in the tabloids that David is planning on leaving Doctor Who in Series Four the BBC have issued the following press statement:
"David is absolutely committed to the show and is currently filming the third series. There is no fourth series currently commissioned yet so we could not confirm his involvement in that yet. David Tennant is committed to the series. When a further series is commissioned, we will be able to confirm his involvement."

The rumours have been denied but it is true that a 4th series has yet to be commissioned. There is another rumour going around that Robert Carlyle may take over when Tennant leaves.

well i dont know whether he's quitting or not but i do know that Tennant certainly is NOT the best Doctor ever -he has almost single handedly reduced the best sci-fi programme ever to a childish, dumbed down, immature farce for mentally challenged kiddie-chavs.I shudder to think who russell "toilet-trader" davies will inflict on us next.

Goodness me! You're not suggesting that The Scum printed a story without checking its facts first?
