I agree with Wael K. Pearl Jam and the Who are two of the best. The Who is just classic and loud. Pearl Jam is great b/c they truly appear to love what they are doing. They literally would play all night if they could. What else is great is that every show is different with a different set list. You can go to 5-6 different shows a tour and see 30-40 different songs. Best band live by far.

The Who and Pearl Jam are two of the greatest live.
That's about all.
U2 is good live, but they would suck in a small club, they're only good as an arena band.

Oooooh that's a hard one...my first reastion is KISS...but then RUSH is incredible live also...I'm gonna go with RUSH...cuz Neal Pert is the best drummer ever!!!..and they've never "sold out" and became something theyre not...

1. grateful dead. over 2000 career shows. each timing atleast 3 hours. great drums solos. great jams, plus you never know which songs you'll hear, or how they will play them.
2. the who. the first great live rock band. loud, over the top, destructive, and they would blow any other british invasion band off the stage.
