It isn't an easy business to break into.
Why don't you write a nice letter to the editors of those magazines and tell them of your dream. Ask them how to go about achieving it. You might be surprised at the answers you receive.

Don't get so discouraged by others by sharing what your dreams are. People often think it's stupid because maybe they are jealous or to them seeing is believing? If it's something you are meant to do you will do it.
(A word of advice don't share your dreams with those people and learn to keep that your secret. By telling them that they will give their opinions that you don't want to hear.)
If you like to write practise your writing skills and work on the area's where you need to improve on your writing. Build your vocabulary, grammar and concentrate on your education first and you graduate from high school.
After high school you can go to either university or college to major in the area that will help you to get there. You may have to start off at the bottom before you get to the top. Always try to keep up with what's going on in the fashion and beauty world to know what's going on in the current trends.
Have you ever written or asked some of these beauty editors what kind of education they have? Write them and find out. Talk is cheap and if you really want it bad enough you will pursue it.
Have you ever seen the movie 16 going on 30? If not watch it because it sounds like a movie that would be ideal for you.

Don't let anyone step on your dream...but be realistic. Being an editor will be more about your writing skills than your fashion/beauty skills, so become an excellent writer.
Many colleges have internship programs and it is possible you could be an intern at one of those magazines to see what really goes on behind the scenes. Good luck!

Don't listen to them. If it is YOUR dream, then go on with it! It doesn;t matter what people say to you. They are not the ones who are going to be doing it . You Are! Most dream jobs are HARD and DO TAKE TIME, and just because some people said that you shouldn't make you wanna stop trying to achieve your dream. Just ignore them! Good Luck! Your dream job is not stupid at all! Don't worry!
Happy New Year! :)

Oh, don't listen to other people. it is your dream, work hard for it. People tell me the same thing when I say I want to teach Ball room dancing, writer, or something like that, they are telling you that is because you know what you want to do for the rest of your life, maybe they didn't get to do what they wanted to do for the rest of their life, or maybe they are just trying to break your dreams, cause it feels good to do that to someone else. But, go for the unattainable goal. I'll see you when you are famous, because I plan to be ultra famous.
