I am trying to cash in on the end of the year incentives and am going to buy a 2006 Ford. Which one would you recommend or not recommend. I am leaning toward the Escape.

The Escape is a nice vehicle and they are clearing them out because they are going to have a new model in 2008.

I would recommend you look at the Mazda Tribune (the sister SUV to the Ford Escape) They have some body panel differences, but they are basically the same vehicle.

Mazda is not going to sell a 2007 model of the Tribune, and dealerships are clearing out the 2006 Tribunes. You can find them advertised in many papers for around $16K.

My good friend has an Escape and he loves it. It's not too fuel hungry and offers a good amount of space and higher ride.

I would go for the Explorer. Not sure if you have a family or not but it has alot of room and is worth the money. I went and just purchased a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer and it is exactly like the Ford Explorer and I love it. You can't go wrong with any of the Ford vehicles.
