Usually women who have a joy loving children become midwives. A midwives is there for the person in labor they are there to comfort and give assurance that everything will be okay. They help bring a new life in the world. I think it is possible to be both if you can dedicate yourself to learning and training to be a midwife and still be able to care for your household. Good Luck and by the way I think people who do things like this should be recognized.

Yes. I'm sure there are plenty of midwives that are good wives and mothers as well. I'm planning on going back to school to become a midwife and I am both a wife and mother.
