Depends how old you are.

A 20 year gap would be pretty grim if the younger person were 15, but not a problem if they were 55.

The gap really depends on the age range of the couple. Obviously the acceptable gap is going to be bigger for a much older couple, whereas the gap shrinks for a younger couple (i.e. one is 20... the other shouldn't be much younger)
I know many couples that have an age difference of around 10 years and not many people think much of it.

I have an age gap in my relationship and I never thought I could be with someone almost 20 years older than me, but it works better than any other relationship I had. It depends on the individual, once you get past the age of 30, it should not make a difference. I think younger people, under 25 should stay within a certain range, but once you get past 30, date who you want.

the age gap seems a lot when you are younger, say 16 and 26 because of the difference in experience. When you are older, 40s and 50s, it is actually irrelevant. If you meet the right partner, but just happen to be born in different decades, well ... that's no barrier to loving someone.

As you become older, age gap becomes less significant.
But 20 years difference is way too much for me
Especially if its the woman that 20 years older than the man.
Even 10 years can be too much, depending on what ago you get together

That all depends on the two people in the relationship and of course they must both be of legal age. I am 17 years older than my husband (I am a hot youthful 37 and he is an even hotter 21 year old) and we are an awesome couple. So, I would say that it truly depends on the 2 people involved because love can endure any differences.

I think that as long as both parties are legal aged consnting adults it's up to the indivduals. A gap of 10 years or more either way can cause difficulties though. my fiance is nearly 6 years younger than me.

I am 3 years younger than my husband. I don't think it matters as long as of course both are of legal age. If there is a large difference in age I thing the maturity level of the younger person comes into play.

However my uncle is 50 and his new wife is 33; they have a new son. It works because my uncle is the perpetual 20 something that never grew up. So he is mentally and maturity wise on her level so it works.

I'm not sure anymore I know ppl who are 15 years apart, and when u look at them its like i want to be like them when Im there age. (she=75, he=close to 90). I've also know someone who is 25 years apart and they truly do have love for each other (she=50, he=25) kind of weird i know. I always that 5 years would be enough but then i see these ppl and i think will i guess age dosn't matter as long as u love each other.

hope this helps you out :o)
