I have a really good voice. Some people say I should do solo's in Church choir, but my dad doesn't want me to be a singer because it is smarts. My mom wants me to and encouarges me. When I did a solo in church, I pronouced usst instead of us. And I said, "Oh shoot I wasn't supposed to say that!", I whispers that into the micrphone! I am so embarssed. It was two weeks ago and people said I did good, my friend even said who was the one who messed up?! I would love to be an actress/singer, but I have stage fright. It is my dream, I already take singing lessons, do I need to take speech or sing in front of small crowds? Singing alone there is no difference to singing infront of people! Help! I so want my dream and if I strive I know I can make it! But people judge me because I am puerto rican and mexican. Yet some say I am attractive. Ugh! I dunno what to do! I wanna become a singer! Please help! I need to find out how to get over my stage fright and some how make it big time! Help!!!!!!!

I'm 10. I think if I take speech and audition for plays I will get over it. Myspace? My older sisters go on that! Not me. Bebo how you say?

But my dad loves me. He justs wants me to do something with brains, I will. But don't put him down like that. I will work for him for a bit in his company, but I don't want to be with brains all of my life! I think I will. He pays money for me to take singing lessons. He'll be there thro thick and thin. He'll understand....

first, its great that you are so determined at such a young age. i give you props for that. do NOT let ANYONE bring you down or tell you that you can't make it big. if you keep this attitude, you will. now, about the stage fright... you first have to start getting over your fear by singing in front of the people you are comfortable with like family, extended family, and friends. singing at church is your next step. trust me, NOBODY remembers that you messed up a little by the time they walk out of the church, so dont let little things like that get to you. you have to be able to laugh it off and say who cares, because trust me, the people in the audience dont care. they just want to hear your beautiful voice. it helps if you put yourself in their shoes... would you really care if someone else sang the wrong word to a song? NO! so dont let that bother you! also, try singing in plays at school or in your community. in middle school and high school, join choir. just doing these few things will help you overcome this fear in no time... promise!:-)

The best way to get over your stage fright is to take classes. Speech classes, singing classes, acting classes, public speaking classes.....any classes you have available to you. I, too encourage you to follow your dream. But, you need to be practical about it. The fact is that a very low percentage of those who "go for it" in the entertainment industry actually attain it. That's NOT, in any way, saying YOU won't make it. But, just in case you don't, you need to have a back up plan. Figure out what you would like to do if you can't do that, and study toward that end, as well.

There's a whole world out there waiting for you, just make sure you are ready to meet it.

Keep practicing in front of the mirror. Learn how to play the piano and sing at the same time. This will help your pitch and improve your self confidence. Keep singing in the choir. Maybe get some singing buddies. Most of all make sure you are having fun. Learn to love yourself for how you already are. The more you practice the closer you will be to your goals.
Good Luck!!!

Sing more in church. Get out and sing in other places. Don't give up! People will always try to put you down, it's because the failed ot gave up on their dreams. Sing anywhere you can and you may get recognized. Don't listen to you Dad. Sensible parents will crush your dreams!

if you want to be something in life try to acheive it don't let anybody stop you form doing what you do.for starters you should get a couple of your friends and family and imagine them as a audience so that u can start to feel less stage fright.when u get in front of big audiences just imagine that they are your family and friends even if you don't kno them they are hear to support you even if you do mess up.
