Take a walk through your local hobby store, or check out the michaels site on-line. There are endless ideas: drawing, painting, sculpture, wood working, sewing, knitting, crochet, pottery, etc.

I love sewing...or rather, reconstructing my old clothes and things and making them oh so much cooler. Not to mention, you could always sell some of what you make for some extra cash. Check out this site for some ideas: http://www.craftster.org
Gator girl is right, too. You should go check out a local hobby or craft store and just browse around until you find something that really catches your eye.

I love knitting when I'm bored... and I started when I was living with my boyfriend in Allentown. There's a good basic yarn store on Hamilton St. and a fantastic yarn store in Bethlehem called "Tangled Yarns."
You can make a lot of interesting accessories and jewelry via knitting and crochet; people are always asking me where I got my gloves/chokers/hats. (I even accept commissions to make similar things for people!)

It depends on what you consider boring, however my opinion of something fun to do is pick up adobe photo shop and design away. (i am a graphic design artist so this would be fun for me)
take up computer programming. its a fun hobby to open up note pad and start typing away from scratch to see what you can come up with. there are plenty of free tutorials on-line.
I like to sew and make stuff like blankets and pillows and little outfits for my son...well I live in a boring town too, so this is all i can think of unless you live by a lake..fishing is fun too.
