We found out yesterday we are having a baby boy =) and now we are starting to pick stuff up here and there and going to start doing a baby registry. I was wondering if any sites have lists that tell you what you need to get? There is just so much stuff!! Thanks!

babiesrus.com They help you with your register. When you register they say stuff like you forgot diapers, diaper bag, socks, ect.

My advice to you would be to go to Babies R Us and register in person there....they will give you a list to start with that has a lot on it and you can slowly build your own registry. I used that and combined it with other registries I looked at on their site.
I would also start SLOWLY....my husband and I were overwhelmed by all the baby stuff and took one section of the store at a time. We didn't do it all in one day but gradually over a couple of months we changed and added things. You can do it at the store or you can go online to make changes if you want. I also used the book "Baby Bargains" - it's like a consumer reports but with a lot of parent feedback and it gives letter grades and prices for the different things you'll need....I also liked it because it helped me to decide what was an absolute necessity and what I could do without if I had to. Hope that helps!

besides a few basics, you will not need much for the first 4 to 6 months. I would invest in a very good car seat. If you research on-line you will see that the BRITEX brand is one of the best (Tested at 70 mph compared to American brands tested at 30 mph) They are a little pricey but, you can be assured that your child is safe in it. Good luck and remember that shopping is a grandparents dream.

get lots of onsies and blankets. When will the baby be born? If the summer you should deff buy some shorts and pants. Buy some cute shirts and onsies. Just go to websites or stores at a mall close to you and look at what you want. Good Luck!!!

Congrats!!!!!!! I went to google and typed in what you need for an infant... it came up with these results

you really don't need much for an infant and plus they grow out of everything so quickly... The first thing you need to get is a car seat or the hospital will not allow to leave the hospital. So grab a car seat and install it in your car! Good luck to the both of you!

Don't get overwhelmed with all the stuff available... babies don't 'need' all that stuff... you'll probably rarely use it.

Don't get a lot of really small clothes (even though they're cute)... they grow unbelievably fast. And, don't buy newborn diapers... start with size 1... if your baby is especially small, then go get newborn.

Have fun!!

Congratulations, you can go to babyrus.com and there is a lot of stuff there that can inform you. You are going to need a lot of bottles, pacifiers, bibs, bath accesories, onies, blanketts, burp cloths, a medical kit, etc.. Hope this helps, good luck with your lil angel.

babiesrus.com Their registry has EVERYTHING and more. When you go to register, it'll alert you if you forgot to register for something. We kept getting this alert because we didn't register for a second car-seat base. Congrats and best wishes!
