That, is between mother and baby. Together you two make up a schedule. Everyone is different, it's a trial and error phase that everyone has to go through until you find something that works.

A one-month old really should be eating and sleeping. Gina Ford, who wrote the book Contented Little Baby, puts babies on a schedule at six weeks between 7am and 7pm, but it's a very, very rigid system that gives mother's no freedom.

Basically, this is a good time to start doing the same thing every day and letting the rythmn of your life and the baby's life feel each other out.

Basically, you both probably need a little play time after the morning diaper change, feeding and dressing. After playing a little, the baby will take a little nap and you need to get yourself ready for the day. When the baby wakes, feed and change him/her again and take your morning walk and run any errands.

After lunch, the baby will need a nap for 2 to 3 hours and you should get at least an hour of rest then too. You should get some play time after the waking/feed/change time and get the tummy time in there too. By 5:30 the baby might need a mini nap and you can use it to get dinner ready.

The main thing I caution against is staying too quiet while your baby is sleeping. If you are too quiet any little thing will wake your baby up and you will live in dread of the telephone ringing. Keep everything at a normal noise level and your baby will be able to sleep while you exercise, watch TV, listen to music or vacuum.

maximum of the time toddlers will finally end up making up their own schedules. My son had his quite lots worked out via the time he became 5 months previous. Now he's very almost 10 months and it somewhat is very common: awaken, breast feed play for an hour or 2, have some cereal, tub time, nap time, awaken, play, consume....you get the assumption. and you will desire to continuously take her exterior and lay her on a blanket so she will check out the blue sky! do not difficulty approximately coaching a three month previous, inspite of the shown fact that, she is studying sufficient on her own together with her reviews interior the worldwide! You dont want to over stimulate her!

Schedules don't really start until about 3 months. If he's having a problem sleeping during the day, try putting him in a gently rocking swing or baby bouncer. Or, try setting him next to the dryer so he can hear the sound (it sounds like the inside of you!). Or, try a car ride.
