From what I see in the real world it is hard to tell.
Church groups open shelters and have feeds in parks, under bridges.
Secular groups open shelters and have feeds either on site or they setup in downtown area.
This place has been around since 1921.

Secular....no religious affiliation.
But they freely give references to resources operated by religious organizations/church organizations.
There are food banks run by secular groups like NORTHWEST HARVEST.
And food banks run by churches.
There are left leaning groups like "Strand Helpers" listed right there with the Compass Center(Lutheran), and the Union Gospel Mission.

Conservative or Liberal?
Doesn't say.
But it's Seattle.
but re your question.
This link addresses

re the above link.
I do not equate "religious" with political conservatism....necessarily.
And people in need aren't asking.

Conservatives have been using charities as front groups for Political Action Groups and cronyism. Tom Delay and his band of crooks loved to use charities to hire political donors and their families at exhorbitant salaries. That makes it all the more evil.

I don't know about the Charities...but I do know that GOP members are better tippers to the escorts at each political convention than the Democrats are. The working girls love when the Republicans come to town.

The liberal FOX News has tried to manipulate the numbers to bolster Ted Haggard's Funds.
Redsters were so excited when FOX told them they were kind. That the donation numbers spiked like a hot stock tip.

Good question. I tried to find some data regarding this after an answerer claimed this to be true. I could find nothing. Can't wait to see the answers.

It is true that conservative period give me to charities than liberals. The reasoning is that the Liberals believe the government should take care of people, whereas the conservatives believe that charities should play a bigger role. I saw this on TV the other day.

Recent studies have shown that conservatives donate more than liberals. The belief is that most conservatives are religious people and try to do their part to help as opposed to the parasitic behavior of their welfare addicted counterpart.
