Seriously? The 1st US President?

Well figured easier to look up in yahoo than ask but it would be George Washington.

Previously There was no office of President as USA was held in the Articles of Confederation in which each State was basically sovereign and lead by the Governor.

Since that system did not work well the Founding Fathers and leaders gathered and wrote the US Constitution which created the 3 branches of American government: Executive (President/Governor), Legislative (Congress/State council) and Judicial (Supreme Court/State Court).

The other Presidents were not Presidents of the United States or they did not have full executive authority...so depends on if you mean who was the 1st technical President by name only or who was 1st actual executive President of Unites States
