There are many reasons why Johnny is better. Well, comparing how Orlando and Johnny age, I can say that Johnny has always looked the same. As Dustin Hoffman said in a Finding Neverland interview, "it's hard to believe that he[Depp]'s over 28." Johnny has a cool disposition, compared to Orlando.
It is also clear that Orlando sees Johnny as his role model, especially in the way they worked together in "Pirates of the Caribbean." Orlando, then, has to make more efforts to be considered "hot," compared to Johnny who has been "hot" even before he came out in "21 Jump Street." It is amazing to see how Mr. Depp can stun three generations (grandmothers down to granddaughters), compared to Mr. Bloom, who appeals mostly to the younger generation.
In other words, Johnny Depp is, indeed, hotter than Orlando Bloom.
