can a 14 year old boy do weights? I am telling my brother his muscle will get little for doing weight.

Yes he can. Although his body is still developing so he's not going to gain muscle like a grown man. Lifting weights does not make your muscles shrink if you're younger...I don't know where you heard that from, but that's completely untrue.

If he wants to build, it's better to start off with small weights and a little at a time. For example, he can start with 5 and curl that for 20 reps, and do this 3 times a week (any more and you can get bogged down and not want to do it at all). After the second week, and every two weeks after this, he can either increase the weight or increase the number of reps until he gets to a level that is comfortable enough for him.

I don't know how he is, but although I don't eat a lot of Protein rich foods I still build muscle really quickly. I can go from doing 10 pullups one day, and two days later I can do 15. So as far as I'm concerned...don't let him think Protein is the key to looking buff, at least it's not with me, but I'm a woman so it's different.

Don't see why he can't. Just start with small weights. Ask your Dr. what's the best thing

yes sure only if the weight he is lifting is suitable for him but if it is too heavy then it is dangerous
