Why do people criticize others?

I was on a website. And everywhere I go, I saw this person flamming everyone about there stories. So I email this person and this is what she said:

And just because I am adult doesn't mean I wouldn't criticize someone harshly, especially when that someone completely deserves for writing such horrible stories.

The reason why she said this was because my mom got into it and started saying stuff. Now she thinks im an adult. But im only 13. But do you know what the odd thing is? She dosn't have any stories posted. Why is this?

People like that don't deserve a response from you. If they are going to criticize you, ignore them as if they aren't there. Eventually they will leave you alone.

I feel sorry for her. Understand why I say this... Sometimes people are so insecure about themselves that the only way that they can feel better about themselves is to criticize others. That is why she has no stories posted of her own.

i honestly don't know.
i agree with Scooter, though. just ignore them.
ya, sometimes even i get just so fed-up af all this criticism.....but i guess that's just how we humans are.
the best we could do is learn from the mistakes others make, and try not to do the same.

Ignorance, fear, lack of intelligence....perhaps some low self-esteem in themselves. People like that should be ignored....and they need some education and some help!

critics enjoy and get a pleasure in criticizing people.when it comes to reality ,they are afraid to face.
