The shot was the worst thing I ever did. It took over a year to get pregnant and the only reason I finally conceived is that I had surgery. The shot caused a hormonal imbalance and the lining in my uterus kept growing causing horrid periods every week and a half to two weeks. I lost hair, had horrid hedaches and got very depressed. There is a web site out there that people blog on and give their stories. Can't remember the name of it but try to google pros and cons of depo shot. Good Luck

Some women get pregnant right off the shot, and some ended up needing to go to a fertility specialist.

If you are on depo, get off it asap and try another method :)

If you aren't, good for you!

:)

When I was on this, it took nearly a year for my period to come back at all. My doctor advised me that it can take anywhere from 6 months to a year for you to be able to conceive after coming off depo.
