I had an epidural with my last pregnancy and had I have known, I would have done it every time! Painless, It was a c-section the last time, the others were totally drug free and natural, screw the drug free thing! I cannot believe I put myself through natural childbirth!
\If you have an epidural, make sure the anesthesiologist is qualified, after reading every ones neg. comments on epidurals, it sounds like they didn't have a good Dr. I have nor has my daughter suffered any adverse effects!

the epidural is giving to women when giving birth or do you mean the birth control Depo Provera shot

I've had both..... won't go there about the epidural (wasn't a good time, won't do it again)

the depo provera shot I was on for 6 years no problems, only reason I stopped is because they had me start signing a form stating I was aware that it caused bone thinning.... when I questioned about it being a new risk factor they said no we always knew about it but it was worse than we ever thought.

It's really up to you and your doctor what you do or use.....
I got PG using a condom the first time and on the pill the second time.... but never when I was on the shot...... Good Luck

The shot(s) that you are talking about are two different things. The shot (?) that I assume you are talking about is for birth controll, right? The epidural is a shot given during a c-section to numb the mother from the waist down so she doesn't feel the surgery or if it's nautural...she won't feel the contractions.

An epidural is a long needle inserted into the 4th or 5th lumbar space (I can't remember exactly) of the spine. It's given to numb the body from the waist down.. In such instances as giving birth or possibly some kind of surgery below the belt.

the epidural is the anestetic the women get when giving birth. If you mean the birth control shot you are talking about Depo Provera. I have been on DP and it worked great for me. I was always forgetting to take my pill, and with the shop I didn't have to remember as often. I t also made my periods only last one day and it was very light.

Here is the website for it is you want more info:

I (a male) had an epidural for a ruptured disc. Relieved pain for about 3 months - then back again.

After seeing childbirth - I realized why God chose women to have babies. We men could not handle it.
