Atatic buildup is when you carry an excessive charge of electrons, friction usually causes the buildup.

The spark you get is the discharge of the electrons to an object that has a lesser charge.

The biggest limiting factor to building a charge is humidity. Dryer sheets work too, but can cause people with asthma or like breathing problems.

I use two wooden sticks to get my clothes out of the dryer. I'm static electricity prone everywhere like Electro.

I always use a fabric softener sheet to remove it. It has something to do with the electrons charging each other and causing a shock in the air. Just rub the sheet over whatever is staticky.....

Use a good fabric softener.If you have a dress that has that problem then you take lotion and rub it on your legs or over your panty hose.This is a problem in the winter months.Some people say to use hair spray on your clothes, but I've never tried that.......

There is a product called Static Gaurd. Just spray on.

dryer sheets cause static. Use liquid fabric softener, it keeps the static at bay

they actually sell a spray that can rid it or you can ruba dryer sheet inderneath the clothing. we did that for our graduation gowns and it worked!
