No. They have EXTREMELY specific needs and can go downhill very quickly if even one of their needs is not met to the fullest extent. There was someone who stole a couple of koalas from the zoo for his girlfriend a while back, and a few days later they returned them because in that much time they were already starting to die just because their needs were not perfectly met.

do you mean keeping one for real at your house? I don't think so. Taking a Koala as a pet would be taking a wild animal away from his/her habitat.

LOL, they are actually really lazy animals, the gum leaves they eat are very low in nutrition, as well as difficult to digest, so they basically do lots of eating and sleeping, they also have fleas and really long nails for climbing trees. But it is a wonderful photo, and shows that animals that have no where to go will accept help from humans Edit: Great idea Liz, thanks

Uhm, no. Koala's are endangered. They're also WILD ANIMALS.
Stick to cats, dogs, hamsters... maybe even a fish. =)

You mean to keep as a pet? No. They're wild animals, huge claws and teeth, also infested with fleas.

Actually, you can. You can go to the zoo and pay for the animal and you may get to name it and the money you give goes to its food/medical care. You don't really get to bring it home, but it's yours along with other people.
