What is the life expectancy of auto wheel bearings under normal use ?

The car has 50,000km back and forh to work Gm Grand Am

Since the car in question is a Grand Am the answer is anytime between when it was driven off the factory floor til the car completely wears out.

These bearings fail frequently.

it is 50-100000 KM, I always use the highest quality. and make sure they are looked at whith every brake job. The reason is in some cases you can take the axle with it, and that is much more espensive.
