If you are married, you can wait a few days to have sex, it will still be available next week. Rest your bod and your boys and your favorite member, you need to get rid of the UTI and sex will just prolong the problem by keeping the area irritated--semen is much more acidic than urine,or alkaline, not sure which, anyway just lay off the laying on. Drink a lot of water. Ejaculation stretches the urethra through the higher pressure of the semen being forced out, and it is already irritated.

It is suggested that you abstain from having sex while being treated for a urinary tract infection until you have finished your medication given for treatment. It can be painful to you to have sex when you have a urinary tract infection. However, if you do choose to have sex a condom would probably be a wise choice.

While safe sex is always the right thing to do for you and your partner; If you have an INFECTION then DO NOT risk infecting your partner. If it goes untreated for a female it can cause other severe problems, if a male gets infected then it could be a while before he knows and therefore causing further complications.
Do yourself and partner a favor abstain until you get rechecked.

Protected sex will still cause a foreign object "in there". You really should just put sex aside for a week or so until you are better. If you have sex while you have a UTI, even with a condom, there is still a chance you could give it to your partner, creating a horrible circle of UTI's in your bed.

If you have already started taking antibiotics, you can have sex . as the organisms become weak and the chances of transmitting your infection to your partner become minimal.Apart from it, your partners immunity will protect him from getting infected. If he is having weak immunity then the chances of infection become possible hence to protect him you can have safe sex.

it's better not to do anything. the last time i tried it hurt so bad i had to stop. it's so much better to wait and it if you do have sex, it could cause the infection to come back. they call UTIs the honeymoon disease because most people don't get them until they start having sex.
