first can i just check i have the concept right - you are in control of their lives and can do anything you like? do you build a city or just the communities? as you can tell i have never played. what is the latest sim version and which one should i get? do you have to have a basic package before you get things like the dating pets and sims? and is it as good as they say it is? thanks in advance!

yes you are in control of thier lifes and i recommend getting the deluxe or the big one in one for 40.00 at walmart. check out also any sims sites that you can find using a search engine and see what you think of it first

the new sims are better sims 2 buy it and there is a wide range of expansions: sims 2 pets, sims 2 nightlife, sims 2 open for buisness,sims 2 university,sims 2 glamour stuff,sims 2 family fun stuff
there kind of expensive
if your looking for something cheaper you can buy the first sims complete collection there is about ten games in the pack its still just as fun and costs about £30/$60? yes you do controll their lives that is what the game is about have fun!

The current version is called The Sims 2. You need to buy The Sims 2 before you can buy any of the expansions. My wife and I really enjoy the game, and you will too!

Well if you get sims city you build your own town,city,etc. but if you get the sims2 thats pretty fun you control their lives and the latest sims 2 is coming out soon and it is called sims 2 seasons. I am lookin forward to that and if you get it for pc it is even funner because you can have up to three floors in your house.
