Hey check out the link below, place called Air Tight Grafix address is on South James Rd, Columbus. Find them and ask if they are interested in taking someone as an apprentice there. Tell them you really would like to learn how to paint motorcycles etc. learn the in's and out's of the trade. Hell, if you have to sweep the floor just to get your foot in the door. Good luck.

If you are near Columbus, I would go to the motorcycle hall of fame museum in Pickerington and ask some questions there. I added a link to their web site. I'm sure they know some restoration experts and enthusiasts locally that you could visit. Most trade experts love to share their knowledge with others. Personally, I own a Z car and joined a Z car club locally. One of the benefits of the club is I get to learn how to repair my car. Good luck to you!

Heck man, go to Home Depot and buy some spray paint in the can and start painting. Keep on practicing until you get it right.
