How can you tether a LG CU500 phone to use my laptop having the unlimited MediaNET plan with Cingular?

the cellular companies dont want you toi know this because they want you to buy their cell phone internet, but there is a cable that connects your phone to a usb port which comes with software to link the 2. that way you can connect via dial up from your cell phone. I got the item for my cingular but i dont remember from who. if you search the internet you will find it now that you know what you are looking for, or email [e-mail]. she bought one.
