how old is the unit? if it's old, you may want to check the burners themselves. they do burned out after a while. you can take them to any home depot or lowes, or any appliance repair shop and replace them, or you can also check the wiring underneath where the burners are connected and see if everything is in good working order. if its a gas stove, and you smell gas whenever you turn the knob but the burners doesn't fire up, check your igniter. good luck.

Hasn't worked since you got it? Did you buy it new? If so, you should have gotten in touch with the dealer you bought it from immediately. If it's still within the warranty period, you should still contact the dealer, but you'll probably have to deal with the manufacturer now, since you did nothing about the first burner.

Hopefully, the place you got the stove from is a reputable dealer and they'll stand behind what they sell. Maybe they'll give you an exchange unit free of charge or for a nominal fee ... all depends on how long you sat on the issue of that first burner. Good luck!

You said lighting so you are referring to a gas stove? The ignitors go out on those frequently. You could try lighting them with a match or get new burners but I don't suggest replacing them yourself. Working with gas stoves is not safe unless you know what you are doing.

We had the same problem with our burners. My husband tried everything to fix them and nothing worked. We called a repairman out and he told us what we didn't want to hear. It couldn't be fixed. We ended up going out and buying a new stove.

Good luck to you. Just consider the new stove a late Christmas present to your household.

DONT call THE gas corporation. in the journey that your burners on your cook dinner appropriate are no longer working there are in basic terms truly 3 issues which could fail, your electrode, or different sensible easy because of the fact the igniter, your spark module which provides the voltage and spark to ignite your burner, and your switches that grant the spark module with one hundred twenty volts, attempt turning on the working burner to get the "igniting" sound (clicking) and seek for the spark on the broken burners in case you spot sparking coming from the igniter then your spark module and igniter are nice and its your switches, in case you spot no longer something then its your electrode or spark module, after that rapid attempt you may then hint the wiring circuit to tell apart the defective section, yet 80% of the time switches are the defective section, 15% electrodes (igniter) and the final 5% is the spark module, any extra questions touch me.

If your warranty has run out (and you're in the UK), you should be able to get new burner rings from www.espares.co.uk, they seem to have spare parts for most stoves out there.

Easiest way to fix this is to buy a new stove.
