I have 453 mostly spam I forward those from bulk to my in box and then report them as spam so they will be blocked from sending again look they the mail see what is important I make separate folders if I don't have time to read like I have a work folder, a 360 folder, a violations folder family folder etc. I also use the sender feature that way spam ones all go on one page and you can check all and delete the whole page good luck and this is my answer to your question

I had 55 this morning- deleted about 45 of them. I hate doing email at 5 in the morning.

If the messages are those alerts that you receive to your e-mail when your question is answered, delete them but if they are from your friends, read them one by one!
