Why does the lead singer always get the chicks?

To answer one question; yes i was a lead singer.

Probably cuz chicks think he IS the band(some chicks are sooo dumb!) Also, I may be wrong, but I think bands purposely have the lead singer be "the hot guy", just to rep the group. All just my opinion, though......

I always go for the drummer. I'll tell you who get's the most play.
The band member who get's the most action (In order most to least):
1. The Lead Singer- Because he is the first person we can see
2. The Guitarist/Bass Guitarist- Because he is the second person we see
3. The Drummer- Because he is the third person we see, and because we notice the rockin beat
4. The Keyboardist- sorry doesn't really get many chicks

Tip: Just move yourself into the spotlight more. Tell the lead singer to go sit in the corner with a mic and see who gets the most chicks at the end of the night!

Because the lead singer usually shows the most personality on stage. The drummer is hidden, but if the other band members are hot and know how to make eye contact with the crowd, they can get the chicks too.

I bet even when Dave Grohl isn't behind the mic, he gets chicks.

Does Jack Black get chicks? I bet he does, and he's pretty repulsive. It has everything to do with personality and showmanship.

So in closing, the lead singer gets chicks because of their stage presence. However, I believe that any band member can also obtain chics thusly if they have skills as such.

Because they are always in front on posters and so are also in the spotlight. They are the main attraction, most attention is payd to the lead singers. When you see a music video the camera focuses on the guy singing, right? Not the drums or the guitar (at least not always)

In my day, way back in the late 80s, anyone could look like a lead singer. We all had big hair and tight pants, lol. Anyone could get a chick. Now days, even the band members look like they were just released from prison with their skinheads tattoos all over their heads and faces and more pierces than brains. I am amazed to see any of them with women. Would you hire one of them to be your front man in a furniture store or stock office?

He gets a lot, but not all of them. He's the one up front talking and singing right to 'em, so they get a lot of him to work with.

Having played bass in rock 'n roll bands, full time for 15 years when I was younger, I have first hand knowledge that it's not always the singer. Drummers and the rest of us are pretty far up there too!

Usually in a band, the lead singer is the one that gets the most camera time and the most fame. So, people identify that person with the band and the women who crave 15 minutes of fame or bragging rights go for him.

Might possibly be true in big bands, but it has been my experience (through playing in bar bands for the last 20 years) that in bar bands, it is usually the sound guy who gets them. Reason being, the ladies will come up to him while the band is playing, and ask about the singer, guitarist, drummer, etc. , and he'll start talking to them, buying them drinks, putting the moves on them, and getting them drunk. Then he has them to himself, because they forget about the guy they asked him about in the first place. Yes, sound guys always tick me off, getting all the girls.
